Muscles and Metabolism . Cardio vs. Weights . part III

Post

With all the focus on the benefits of weights, I don’t want to leave you with the impression cardio has no benefits. Aerobic activity is great for your heart and lungs. For many, it can be a meditative way to clear the mind, blow off stress and get in touch with nature. For others, it’s a challenging and invigorating competitive sport. But as a tool for getting leaner, aerobic exercise by itself is a mediocre strategy.

Here are some of the benefits of cardio, aerobic activity:

  • Aerobic activities strengthen the heart and lungs, making them more efficient and durable, improving quality and quantity of life.
  • Aerobic exercise can not only extend your life, but also give you more energy to live it to the fullest.
  • Aerobic exercise reduces your risk of heart disease, vascular disease and diabetes and can help those trying to quit smoking by relieving cravings and improving lung function.
  • Research has confirmed that aerobic exercise reduces stress and combats depression as it raises self-esteem and physical awareness.

Stop by and give your heart and lungs some love … take a spin on the Versa Climber!

In good health
