F.I.T Plank Challenge

Post

Baby PlankJune 5, 2016 –

Here it is the 5th of June, are you ready for the summer? Me either, but I want to challenge myself (and you) to start an Abdominal Challenge for the next 30 days … and it begins today, Sunday June the 5th and ends on Monday July 4th. 30 days of PLANK!

For those of you who know what a plank is you may be ready to stop reading … but you didn’t. Good! One of the most popular exercises for the tummy area is an isometric exercise called a plank. No gym or equipment is needed, which means you (and I) have no excuses. A plank begins simply by laying on your tummy on the floor, stabilize your core (tighten up or suck it in) and prepare to lift your hips up off the ground. Beginners typically start from their knees and then graduate to lifting up the knees as welt elbows and toes There are many variations to this fun and exciting activity like lifting one foot, or alternate lifting right then left, raising up to the hands, or even a plank to the side. A plank is a plank no matter how you do it. Stabilize and build strength in your core!

Why plank? The answer is simple, because with summer on its way, building strength in our core with the added benefit of flattening or flexing our abdominal area so it also appears firmer, fitter, and fantastic! Who’s with me!? Sharon and I started this morning and we are going to give it 100%

In good health,
