Don't Fall Away - Fitness Challenge - FIT Human Performance

One of the pitfalls of FALL is that people get busy and put everything else before their own needs. If you’re honest about your needs you will no doubt agree that health and fitness should be near the top of that list. Yet during this time of year (in my experience) majorities of people shrug off exercise, thinking to themselves “ok, I’ll not worry about my diet and exercise right now but in the NEW year I will dedicate myself!”. A resolution that again has its own challenges. So what happens honestly is that we sabotage our health with an abundance of calories from over eating, over drinking, and under exercising. Triple negative, we literally FALL away from health and fitness.
This is my Holiday Challenge to each of you in 2015. EVERY day from Halloween to the end of the year commit a minimum of 10 minutes each day to exercise, that is more than an hour each week. Since it is only 10 minutes a day any of us should be able to make it happen. Really, it’s not too a lot to ask and it is for your own health and fitness. Here are few ideas;
Walk – for me to walk to the other end of the strip center and back = 4:06 minutes, you can walk around your neighborhood or maybe your office building
Core strength – 100 crunches, 100 leg raises, and 100 standing twists = 5:00 minutes
Cardio – use a piece of stationary exercise equipment for one minute = 1.00 minute
Total exercise movement time = 10 minutes
My challenge will help you to keep your program on track and your body accustomed to exercise. The hardest part of starting an exercise lifestyle is exactly that…starting. So, maintain your current level of fitness and don’t FALL away!
