Do You Have Class? - FIT Human Performance
May 12, 2013
Well, of course you do! This Bob Report is a chance for you to tell me what you think about fitness classes …. I’m looking for your thoughts, responses, and support. For many of you who have been exercising for a while, at some point you attended a class of some kind. An exercise class that is! I am starting to develop the GIFT (Group Intensity Functional Training) summer class schedule to help you busy bodies keep FIT!
Classes are a wonderful way to get connected and committed to a successful fitness plan. Here, in my opinion, are some reasons F.I.T. will be adding a class format begining this summer:
1. I like the camaraderie and support a class offers. When two or more gather not only does it allow a social network but a friendly unwritten competition is present … not to mention, we just work harder. Honestly, left to our own intentions it is so easy to ‘quit the hard stuff’!
2. Not only does group training provide support, accountability and structure, it also allows the participant to experience a level of professional and technical guidance at F.I.T. In some cases, it is possible you have been learning or using historical or even mechanically unsafe and dangerous principals. Be smart, train smart, get FIT!
3. Cost effective. Private Personal Training (or private instruction of any kind) is a devotion to one persons goals and specific needs. GIFT or group personal training/class training follows the same movement patterns and technical direction but at a discounted per session rate.
SO, stay tuned for the special summer GIFT schedule … and, please share your thoughts and ideas (send to bob@fithumanperformance.com) on what makes a super fitness class.
In good health,
BOB
